3 things to take away from my presentation are ...


Hard work pay off if you put your mind to it you can do whatever it is that your working so hard for.


Basketball will just be way more fun if I can dunk it will make me feel good to be able to dunk in a game.


one last thing to take away from the presentation is that basketball is a way to cope with problems you can work on what you need to get done in the gym but at the same time you are reliving stress

One Pager
 
Building your strength. They say that being in the best shape you can be is the best way to start trying to dunk. It’s a great way to try to dunk. Being in good shape and having a good mind set is the way I started off trying to dunk. I then moved to a vertical jump training and began trying to increase my vertical. I also worked on technique and tried to dunk off both feet and one foot and I found that it was much easier. They say that generally they can jump higher off one foot. I have also been trying to palm the ball because if you can hold onto the ball you have a better chance of dunking.
 I then figured out way I wasn’t getting close even though I had the height I needed to achieve my goal of dunking a women’s sized basketball. I was jumping to close to the basket and every time I went up and tried to dunk I would get caught up under the rim so what I did was jump a foot out and it fixed the problem immediately although I still haven’t dunked with that type of a ball.  
            They say if you begin to make progress you’re doing something right. I tried dunking with smaller balls I first started off with a small tennis ball over at my friend’s house. I then quickly moved onto a soccer ball and was able to dunk it as well. They say that dunking is right around the corner.
I say the final step you can’t teach you have to overcome it yourself. There isn’t any more you can teach to a person. I either get over the hump or I just don’t dunk. I’ve said you have to want it more then you ever had before. They think that they will fail then they will. I’m confident that I will be able to dunk a basketball so I know I will.
I WILL ACHIEVE MY GOAL.

feild work

This weekend I completed more field work and went to the gym to workout. I worked my legs out by biking in place to get them loose and warmed up and then I moved to different work outs to strengthen them. I feel like this experience helped me understand the importance of training first before going out and doing what ever your training for. It will help make sure you don't injure yourself and prepare you for your task. Some things that surprised me were that lifting and practicing isn't that fun and its a lot of work. Some parts that are ted talk worthy is the workout plan needed to dunk a basketball. I feel like a lot of people would enjoy seeing what it took. Then the final step for the project is to get a dunk on recording and share it with the people in our class to show that it isn't impossible to dunk a basketball if you set your mind to it and strive for what you want.
